I can still switch the Litter Robot on and off via the app but I can't do anything else. I changed the old DFI sensor in April 2020 to the newer version because the old IR one stopped working. The new sensor came as part of the Connect upgrade kit which I purchased. The LR has been working flawlessly for the past 8 months or so.

Old DFI sensor was based on IR light so it had two circuit boards. One for emitting and one for receiving IR light. Nov 18, 2019 · I receive really interesting update from Litter-Robot. To reset DFI sensor fault on a Connect Litter Robot please hold Reset button until the blue light blinks quickly. After that, it should come to solid blue light. This should really fix the issue of the DFI.
