Well, I took the plunge and ordered a LRB receiver James River Armory M14. I happened to be in Baltimore so I called JRA and stopped by before ordering. They were very generous with their time and I learned a lot about the M14. While there is a great deal left for me to learn, I feel great about the purchase. Oct 18, 2020 · Not all Rock-Ola receivers are stamped M14. A very small number were stamped PRM -1. I was informed this stood for PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF MARYLAND. Not being stamped M14 made them legal in Maryland as well as New Jersey. The receivers were forged by BULA Forge. It is my understanding they were made before James River Armory moved to Va.
