BH sent us Prototype giant standup rod on the Excel trip and Shin tested the rod. It is very stiff rod. It might need softened tip. Generally, the boat will try to do most of the work to get the fish off the rocks in the initial moments of the hookup, but stouter rod and line would be mandatory. You might have a better hookset with a single hook AT TIMES, but your going to get more chances to set the hook with the treble.
